LEWISTON, Idaho – The Warrior Athletic Association held its 13th-annual High School Awards banquet on Oct. 9 to honor the achievements of local area high school teams, coaches, student-athletes and those that help the programs run.
 
Jordyn Moehrle (Colton High School) and Spencer Schumacher (Prairie High School) took home Athlete of the Year awards, while Troy Volleyball took home the Team of the Year honor. Jim Holman of Asotin High School Baseball/Football was named Coach of the Year and Larry Braun of Nezperce High School was awarded the Rick Hill Meritorious Award.
 
Prairie High School and Kendrick High School each received $500 scholarships to Lewis-Clark State College to be awarded to the student of their choice.

Male Athlete of the Year: Cooper Hewett (Kendrick), Spencer Schumacher (Prairie), Peyton Whipple (Kamiah)
Team of the Year: Asotin Baseball, Colton Girl's Basketball, Kendrick Softball, Potlatch Baseball, Prairie Boy's Basketball, Troy Volleyball
Coach of the Year: Kevin Chaffee (Prairie), Jim Holman (Asotin), Morgan LeBlanc (Kendrick), Clark Vining (Colton)
Rick Hill Meritorious Award: Larry Braun (Nezperce), Bill Howard (Troy), Bill Krick (Genesee), Lora & Alan Reuben (Clearwater Valley)
