NEW ORLEANS - The USTFCCCA released the list of All-Academic Individuals and Teams for the 2018 cross country season on Thursday, and the Lewis-Clark State Warriors showed that they are one of the top programs on and off the course. LC had more student-athletes earn the honor than any other NAIA institution with 13 (seven men and six women).
Â
In order to qualify for the honor, student-athletes must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.25 in addition to competing at the NAIA Championships.
Â
"Our goal with our program is to be one of the best in the country, in all the things we do; athletics, academics and community service," coach
Mike Collins said. "I think this recognition by our national body in the sport of cross country and track is a super reflection of everything we are trying to accomplish here. I am proud of the kids, the coaches and everyone that has supported us in these endeavors."
