BILLINGS, Montana – The men of Lewis-Clark State cross country put on a show at the Frontier Conference Preview, winning the race with a team total of 27 points. The women finished third as a team with 81 points. Chase Barrow, Cole Olsen and Clayton VanDyke continued their strong junior campaigns and all finished in the top four.

THE MEN
Barrow (26:45.20) picked up his first win as a Warrior, finishing at the top of the group of 69. Olsen (26:51.10) was just behind him in second, and VanDyke (26:55.40) placed fourth overall. Dillon Dawson (27:41.70) rounded out the top 10 for LC State with a ninth-place finish.

"The men looked really good," coach Mike Collins said. "Our top three ran really. There were a lot of exciting things for Chase (Barrow) and exciting things for the team.

THE WOMEN
Emily Adams (19:56.60) led the Warrior women, pacing LC State with a fifth-place finish. Rylee Brown (20:26.60) also finished in the top 10 to help the Warriors take third as a team behind Carroll College.

"On the women's side, in the beginning of the year we knew it would be a four-team race between us, Carroll, Rocky Mountain and Montana Western and today's results kind of showed that," Collins said. "It was a close race between all of us. We definitely have to get better. I think today was very indicative of the youth in our program."

The Warriors head to Southern California on Sept. 28 for The Master's Invitational before coming home to host the Inland Empire Championships on Oct. 12 in Lewiston.

"We are looking forward to going to California next week and seeing how we match up against some of the schools from the California conferences," Collins said.
