LEWISTON, Idaho – The Warrior Athletic Association held its 15th annual High School Awards ceremony virtually on KLEW last week. The event recognized outstanding high school student-athletes, their coaches, teams and community members.
Category winners included Lapwai's Titus Yearout and Clarkston's Ashlyn Wallace, who won Athlete of the Year awards, and Clarkston's Debbie Sobotta, who earned Coach of the Year. The Lapwai boys' basketball team claimed Team of the Year and Grangeville's Brad Wassmuth was awarded the Rick Hill Meritorious Award.
The WAA High School Awards were made possible by major sponsors P1FCU and Pepsi as well as award and event sponsors CCI/Speer, Inland Cellular and the Clearwater River Casino and Lodge. The Lewiston Morning Tribune and KLEW were media sponsors.
