CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Cascade Conference announced the latest round of Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Players of the Week, and this week's group featured two LC State student-athletes. Cross Country's Cole Olsen took home Runner of the Week honors for the first time this season, and Jansen Edmiston earned her second Women's Basketball Player of the Week nod.
 
Olsen got the season started with a bang when he placed first individually at the Bushnell Invitational. He helped the LC State men's team to a first-place finish in a meet where the Warriors had four finishers inside of the top10. Olsen won the race with a time of 24:50 and finished four seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.
 
Edmiston and the 23^rd-ranked Warrior Women's Basketball team traveled to Billings, Mont. over the weekend to take on the MSU-Billings Yellow Jackets in a two-game set. In the first game of the series, the senior contributed 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds to help the Warriors earn the victory. She then posted 15 points and five rebounds in the final game of the weekend.
