LEWISTON, Idaho – Head Coach Mike Collins announced the latest addition to the Warrior running family in Scottsdale, Ariz. native Brycen Brown. He will begin his time at LC State in the fall as a transfer from Paradise Valley Community College.
 
"We expect Brycen to come in and make an immediate impact," Collins said. "He had a very good high school career and has developed well at Paradise Valley. With a large number of core guys returning in the fall, he will only add to the depth in our hopes of winning conference and competing well at the national level."
 
Brown ran cross country and track for the Pumas of the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference. He clocked personal-best times of 2:00.28 in the 800m, 2:36.24 in the 1,000m and 27:16 in the 8k (cross country). He is an NJCAA All-American in the indoor distance medley relay, and earned All-Academic honors.
 
He prepped at Horizon High School in Scottsdale and holds the school record in the 800m (1:56.97). He ranks second in the 5,000m and fourth in the 1,600m and 3,200m. Brown was voted all-district in track and cross country as a junior and senior. As a senior, he was named the MVP of both teams, as well as the Horizon HS Male Athlete of the Year. He was also a member of the National Honors Society.
