EDMOND, Okla. – Lewis-Clark State College senior
Lauren Hamm fired her second consecutive round of 6-over-par 78 at the 26th annual NAIA Women's Golf National Championship at the Rose Creek Golf Course.
Hamm's round left her at 156 overall and in a six-way tie for 69th place in the four-day 72-hole event.
Hamm, who is from Ferndale, Wash., is the only Warrior competing at nationals, which features 156 golfers, including 30 teams and six individuals vying for titles.
Hamm was one of the final groups to tee off on Wednesday and shot a 2-over-par 38 on the front nine with seven pars and bogeys on the first and ninth hole. She then bogeyed the 10th and finished with bogeys on three of the final four holes. Overall, she parred 12 of the 18 holes.
Hamm played the first two rounds with Gurman Knight of William Jessup, who is two shots off the overall lead at 142.
The field will be cut for the final two rounds on Thursday and Friday. In the past, the cut line was below the top 70 individuals but as of midnight Central Standard Time, the NAIA had not announced the cut line.
