Brycen Kempton both placed 17
th in their respective races on Friday as the top non-NCAA Division I finishers at the Clash of the Inland Northwest. Both were voted the Cascade Conference WVT Laboratory Players of the Week for cross country.
Rylee Brown – Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week
Brown led the No. 11 Warriors to a fourth-place team finish at the Clash of the Inland Northwest, hosted by Eastern Washington, on Friday. The senior from Coeur d'Alene was the top non-DI finisher at the meet with a 17
th-place mark and a time of 15:18 in the 4k race.
Brycen Kempton – Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week
Kempton was the top LC State finisher in his collegiate debut at the Clash of the Inland Northwest. The freshman from Post Falls, Idaho was the first non-DI athlete to cross the finish line, doing so in 17
th place with a time of 19:10 in the 6k. He led the sixth-ranked Warriors to a fifth-place finish as a team.
LC State Cross Country continues the 2021 season at the EOU Invitational on Sept. 17.
