GOLF

LC State Men’s Golf will compete once more this fall with a match against NCAA Division III Whitworth on Tuesday. The Warriors will head to Latah Creek Golf Course to face the pirates for a 12:45 p.m. tee time. 

MEN'S BASKETBALL

The Warrior men open the 2022-23 schedule on Friday with an exhibition against the Seattle Mountaineers. Tip off is set for 5:30 p.m. in the P1FCU Activity Center. 

LC State opened the 2021-22 season with the Mountaineers last season and came away with a 97-76 victory in the exhibition contest. Silas Bennion put together a stellar performance with 11 assists, nine points and eight rebounds.

VOLLEYBALL

RV LC State Volleyball opened last week with a 3-0 victory over Walla Walla in the P1FCU Activity, but dropped a pair on the road to College of Idaho and No. 1 Eastern Oregon. The Warriors are 13-8 overall and 9-7 in Cascade Conference play heading into another week on the road. 

LC will travel to Washington this weekend to take on Northwest and Evergreen State, both teams the Warriors fell to at home earlier in the season. Grecia Ung Enriquez led LC in both matches with 14 kills in four sets against the Eagles and 25 in the five-setter with the Geoducks. 

Cassidy Nelson leads the CCC in service aces (46) and aces per set (0.57), and Ung Enriquez is fourth at 0.42 aces per set. 

The Warriors sit sixth in the CCC standings heading into the weekend with Evergreen one spot ahead. Six matches remain on the regular-season schedule. The top six teams advance to the CCC postseason tournament. 

Streams for the weekend will be produced by the host teams.

CROSS COUNTRY

LC State Cross Country will conclude the regular-season at the NCAA DII Pre-Nationals meet, hosted by Seattle Pacific. The No. 11 Warrior men and No. 22 Warrior women will compete in the open division, with the men racing at 10 a.m. and the women at 11:20 a.m. at Chambers Creek Regional Park.

LC State last raced on Oct. 8 at the LC State Invitational. Both teams finished fourth, and Geraldin Correa was voted the CCC Runner of the Week after her 14th-place finish in the DI-heavy race.
