VOLLEYBALL
RV LC State Volleyball opened last week with a 3-0 victory over Walla Walla in the P1FCU Activity, but dropped a pair on the road to College of Idaho and No. 1 Eastern Oregon. The Warriors are 13-8 overall and 9-7 in Cascade Conference play heading into another week on the road.
LC will travel to Washington this weekend to take on Northwest and Evergreen State, both teams the Warriors fell to at home earlier in the season. Grecia Ung Enriquez led LC in both matches with 14 kills in four sets against the Eagles and 25 in the five-setter with the Geoducks.
Cassidy Nelson leads the CCC in service aces (46) and aces per set (0.57), and Ung Enriquez is fourth at 0.42 aces per set.
The Warriors sit sixth in the CCC standings heading into the weekend with Evergreen one spot ahead. Six matches remain on the regular-season schedule. The top six teams advance to the CCC postseason tournament.
