LC State Volleyball will host its final home contests of the 2022 season this weekend, including Senior Night on Saturday. The Warriors will take on Warner Pacific and Multnomah in the P1FCU Activity Center.
Friday’s match will follow LC State’s Trunk-or-Treat event, hosted by the Warrior Student-Athlete Advisory Council. The event will take place from 6-7 p.m. in front of the P1FCU Activity Center. Trunk-or-Treat Participants get in to the match for free.
The Warriors will take on Warner Pacific at 7 p.m. in search of a season sweep. LC defeated the Knights 3-1 in Portland behind 14 kills by Cassidy Nelson and a four-set match record 38 digs by Kenzie Dean.
LC State will play host to Multnomah on Saturday at 5 p.m., with the team honoring seniors Nelson, Jada Wyms, Kendzee Cloward, Channa Hart, Carli Berntson and Lisi Langi prior to the match. The Warriors defeated the Lions 3-2 in the prior meeting this season aided by 15 kills by Nelson and 12 each from Juliauna Forgach Aguilar and Langi. Esther Kailiponi dealt 24 assists in the contest.
Nelson leads the Cascade Conference in both service aces (47) and aces per set (0.56). Her ace total is the most in the CCC by seven. Wyms is sixth in the conference blocks per set (1.01) and Dean is eighth in digs per set (3.93).
