CROSS COUNTRY

Warrior Cross Country will compete at the 2022 NAIA Cross Country National Championships on Friday in Tallahassee, Fla. The men will race at 5:30 a.m. PT, and the women will take to the course at 6:30 a.m. PT. 

This is the 22nd straight national meet for the No. 22 women and 19th for the No. 20 men. A full preview of the meet will be available on Thursday.

MEN'S BASKETBALL

(RV) LC State Men’s Basketball heads to Butte, Mont., this weekend for a pair of contests against Frontier Conference teams at the Montana Tech Fall Classic. The Warriors open the weekend with host No. 23 Montana Tech on Friday before a rematch with Providence (Mont.) on Saturday. 

The Warriors last faced the Orediggers on Feb. 20, 2022 and fell 67-64. LC is 36-8 against Montana Tech dating back to 2003. 

Saturday will mark the second meeting between the Warriors and Argos in a week after LC State defeated UP 80-59 in Lewiston on Nov. 12. The Warriors used a huge 52-point second half to complete the comeback win behind 18 points, nine rebounds, six assists and two steals from Silas Bennion. Davian Brown added 16 points, Kai Warren scored a career-high 15 and Oreon Courtney added 13. LC State is 34-10 against UP dating back to 2003.
