LEWISTON, Idaho – LC State Cross Country/Track and Field will welcome Connor Alexander to the family for the 2022-23 season. Alexander is a native of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, and is attending Bonners Ferry High School.

"We are looking forward to having Connor in our family here," Head Coach Mike Collins said. "He has run some very good high school races and will likely have a breakout year this spring in track. He has shown very good progressive improvement each year of high school, including the year that the challenges Covid caused pushed most runners backwards. He will fit in really well with our team this fall as it will be very much a pack mentality team and he will be right in the middle of the pack. Great student and great kid, and will undoubtedly make everyone around him better."

Alexander was a four-year varsity athlete, State medalist in the 1600m his junior year, and a State medalist in cross country his final year as a Badger. Alexander has a 5,000m personal-best time of 16:26. He was named all-league multiple times for cross country and track, and in his senior cross-country season he earned all-district. He was named the MVP in cross country as a junior and earned the Coaches Award for Excellence in track, as well as the "110%" award for his senior cross country season. Beyond running, Alexander carries a 4.0 GPA and also enjoys playing tennis, pickleball, basketball, and skiing. He plans on studying Kinesiology with an education emphasis at LC.
