CORVALLIS, Ore. – Three LC State Warriors earned WVT Laboratory Cascade Conference Athlete of the Week honors for the week of March 13-20. Kristof Panke and Deana Caruso were named the CCC Golfers of the Week, while Aidan Nagle garnered Baseball Player of the Week recognition. 

KRISTOF PANKE– MEN'S GOLFER OF THE WEEK

Panke led the Warriors to a fourth-place finish in a stacked field at the RMC Intercollegiate at the Reflections Bay Golf Club in Henderson, Nev. The freshman matched par on day two to finish the two-round tournament with a 1-over-par 145 and tie for fifth.

This is the second weekly honor for Panke this season.

DEANA CARUSO – WOMEN'S GOLFER OF THE WEEK

Caruso moved up five spots to a tie for seventh after the first day of the RMC Intercollegiate at the Reflections Bay Golf Club in Henderson, Nev. The Pomeroy, Wash., native led LC to a fourth-place finish in a stacked NAIA field with rounds of 83 and 81. She had eight pars and one birdie in the final round.

This is the first weekly honor of Caruso’s career.

AIDAN NAGLE – BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Nagle helped the No. 3 Warriors power past NCAA Division II Central Washington in a midweek doubleheader on Thursday. The senior totaled five hits, including an impressive 4-for-5 performance in game two that featured a pair of home runs and seven RBI. He scored six runs and had a double in each contest. The Santa Rosa, Calif., native slugged 1.625 with a .700 on-base percentage and .625 batting average between the two games.

This is the first weekly honor of Nagle’s career.

The Warriors host UBC this weekend in the first Cascade Conference series of the season. The four-game set is scheduled to begin on Friday at 3 p.m.
