LC State Volleyball will host its home opener on Friday and Saturday in the P1FCU Activity Center. No. 7 Eastern Oregon and in-state rival College of Idaho will be in town as CCC action continues.
The Warriors are 0-7 against the Mountaineers dating back to 2012. EOU finished second in the CCC last season and advanced to the final site of the national tournament. In the 3-1 loss to the Mounties, Cassidy Nelson notched a career-high 24 kills.
LC is 6-3 when facing the Yotes dating back to 2012. The Warriors are 3-1 against C of I since joining the Cascade and split with the in-state rivals last season. Nelson tallied 19 kills in the 3-1 victory in Caldwell in 2021 and Kenzie Dean had 27 digs.
The weekend will kick off the year for the Warrior Zone, sponsored by ICCU and Happy Day. All registered Warrior Zone members will receive their free t-shirts on Friday and the first 100 Warrior Zone members will get free pizza. The Warriors will sign posters after the match.
Saturday is Hometown Hero Day, and all first responders will receive free admission to the match by using the code HERO when purchasing tickets online.
