WOMEN'S GOLF TOP 25
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After a solid fall for the young team, LC State Women's Golf remained in the top 25 of the NAIA at No. 23. The Warriors will wrap up the first half of the 2024-25 season next week at the Thunderbird Invitational.
The Warrior women placed in the top three of every event so far this season, including a second-place team finish at the Briarwood Invitational last week in Billings. Sophomore
Isabella Barquet has been one of the top performers for the LC State team throughout the fall and turned in the best round for the Warriors in the most recent tournament. She was the top Warrior finisher at the first two tournaments before
Chase Caruso broke through to lead the group at Briarwood.
LC State placed third in a competitive field at the prestigious Northwest Iowa National Invitational led by Barquet's top-10 finish. She was voted the Cascade Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for her efforts.
CCC opponent British Columbia maintained its No. 2 ranking from the preseason poll and Oregon Tech moved up five spots to No. 16.
UP NEXT
The Warriors head to Bremerton, Wash. next week for the Thunderbird Invitational as part of CCC play. The tournament is the last event of the fall for the LC State women. The two-day contest kicks off Oct. 21.
