WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY

The No. 15 Warrior women will wrap up their regular season in Nebraska at the Blazing Tiger Classic, hosted by Doane (Neb.) in Crete. LC State has been building momentum all season around a talented young group of runners.

The Warriors have had three different runners lead the team in four races. Junior Grace Tiegs was first runner to cross the line at the Clash of the Inland Northwest and Willamette Invitational, while Lily Bennett led the team at the Cougar Classic. Freshman Damaris Kibiwot put together a historic race to lead the LC State squad at the home meet on Saturday. Kibiwot clocked a time of 18:04 to break the freshman 5k record, set by Tausha Kuzmic in 2001.

The varied results show the depth of the Warrior lineup with a top five that also consistently includes Abigail Shumaker and Camille Ussher.

Live results will be available for the 6k meet at kicks off at 8 a.m.
