Warrior Weekly Preview - Oct. 7-13, 2024

WOMEN'S GOLF

The No. 20 Warrior women are in Billings, Mont., for the Briarwood Shootout, hosted by NCAA Division II Montana State-Billings. The two-day tournament features DII programs MSUB, South Dakota School of Mines and the University of Mary.

LC State Women’s Golf placed third in its first two tournaments of the season with sophomore Isabella Barquet leading the way. The NAIA has noticed the Warriors' success this season and rewarded them in the polls. Along with the No. 20 NAIA ranking, LC State is also receiving votes in the WGCA poll that only recognizes a top 10. They are one of two CCC teams to do so along with British Columbia. Barquet will be joined by the same squad as the first two tournaments in Giulia Belfontali, Jane Barry, Dallis Shockey and Chase Caruso. Natalia Gomez also made the trip and will compete as an individual.

The Warriors tee off at 10 am PT on Monday for the first round of play. The second and final round is set for Tuesday at 8 am PT.
