RESULTS
PORTLAND, Ore. – The No. 11 men of LC State Cross Country started the day with a third-place finish at the 2024 Cascade Conference Cross Country Championships, hosted by Multnomah at Rose City Golf Course. Carter Gordon and Griffen Parsells led the men and earned conference honors for their races.

LC State placed third with 88 points in the 11-team field. Top-ranked College of Idaho won the team and individual titles, and No. 13 Eastern Oregon finished second with 59 points. The Warriors had four runners finish in the top 20.

"Good day to be a warrior," Head Coach Mike Collins said. "Very proud of our athletes and the effort that they put out today. This was really encouraging as we go to nationals because we had some key people that definitely can run better, or other athletes are getting more confident and better, and it's all happening at the right time. Right now we are really going to focus on the little things like trying to stay healthy."

The senior duo of Gordon and Parsells led the way for the men en route to All-Cascade Conference honors. The pair placed in the top 15 with Gordon in 12th (25:34.0) and Parsells in 14th (25:35.1). It is the first All-CCC honors for either in cross country.

Alexander Fry made his way into the top three for LC State as the junior continues to get better. He placed 17th, just out of All-CCC contention, with at time of 25:55.2. Kobe Wessels was just behind him in 18th place (25:55.6). Keith Uitdewilligen capped the top five for LC State with a 29th-place finish (26:27.8).

Senior Conner May paced the second half of the group for the Warriors in 32nd (26:34.7). Cooper Carlson was 41st (26:57.0), Connor Alexander placed 47th (27:09.9), Clay Shumaker was 51st (27:22.6) and Ben Vernon finished 62nd (27:59.8).
