CORVALLIS, Ore. – Former Lewiston Bengal Kobe Wessels earned the first Cascade Conference weekly honor of his career on Monday after leading the Warriors in Missouri. He became the second LC State Men's Cross Country athlete this season to be named the CCC Runner of the Week.
 
Wessels led the No. 13 Warriors at a highly competitive Gans Creek Classic on Friday and finished in the top 15 of NAIA runners. The junior from Lewiston placed 40th in the field of 388 with a time of 25:09.8. The Warriors were the fourth NAIA team and finished ahead of No. 5 Cumberlands (Ky.).
 
Wessels joins Carter Gordon as a 2024 CCC Men's Runner of the Week award winner from LC State this season.
