No. 11 LC State Volleyball (15-4, 12-4) clinched a spot in the 2025 Cascade Conference Volleyball Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank, with two weeks left in the regular season. The Warriors have four matches left on the schedule with all four against NAIA Top 25 teams, including two against teams in the top 10. LC State hosts No. 8 Corban (Ore.) (19-4, 13-3) on Friday and No. 23 Bushnell (Ore.) (16-10, 10-6) on Saturday.
Pepsi is the sponsor for Friday’s Red Rush match in which fans are encouraged to fill the P1FCU Activity Center in red. Guardian will sponsor Saturday’s Senior Night as LC State celebrates its three seniors, Abby Beaton, Juliauna Forgach Aguilar and Esther Kailiponi, at 3:30 p.m.
LC State takes on Corban in a battle of the Warriors on Friday at 6 p.m. Corban has a one-match lead over LC in the Cascade Conference standings with the help of a highlight victory over No. 1 Eastern Oregon. The Corban Warriors took the first meeting in Salem this season in four sets. Karissa Lindner had four blocks in the contest.
Corban leads the CCC in digs per set (15.38) and is second in points per set (17.1), kills per set (13.81) and assists per set (13.01). Kailea Ontai is the conference leader in digs per set (4.59) and Emma Bischoll is third in aces per set (0.51). Gracie Boeder ranks second in the CCC in attack percentage (.318) and Makayla Roginski is fourth (.301).
The LC State Warriors are 7-8 against Bushnell since 2010 and beat the Beacons in four sets this season in Eugene. LC State hit .265 and put up 10 blocks as a team led by six from Lindner and four each by Beaton and Forgach Aguilar. Forgach Aguilar led the contes with 21 kills, Teagan Scott had 47 assists and Ella Stosich collected 20 digs.
Bushnell leads the Cascade in service aces per set (2.18). Hailey Heider leads the conference in total kills with 318 and Soleil Sands is fourth in blocks per set (1.22). Kailey Shirley ranks fourth in digs per set (3.72) and Julia Cook is fourth in aces per set (0.44).
The LC State Warriors are second in the conference in digs per set (15.21) and Stosich is third individually with 4.50 per set. Scott leads the Cascade in assists per set (8.70) and Lindner is second in blocks per set (1.39) which ranks eighth in the NAIA. Forgach Aguilar ranks second in the CCC and sixth in the NAIA in kills per set (4.24) and Taylor Boyce is fifth (3.37) in the conference.
