HELENA, Mont. – Warrior Dance faced Carroll College (Mont.) for the first time in program history for its first duel of the season on Saturday. Despite a higher difficulty score, the Warriors were edged by the Fighting Saints 73.0-70.1.
 
"We are so proud of our Warriors today," coach Sydnee Soderberg said. "We added the difficulty into our routine that the judges suggested in our last competition, and although we didn't quite hit our routine, we are continuously working hard, growing and learning. We will have much to get done these next few weeks before we see Carroll again in Lewiston on March 8."
 
LC State received high marks in both choreography and its staging and transitions. The squad was praised for its overall performance impression as well. The 70.1 score is the second highest in program history.

The Warriors conclude the 2025 season in the first home duel in school history. LC State will host Carroll on March 8 at 9 a.m. in the P1FCU Activity Center.
