GOLF

Warrior Men’s Golf continues its match play tournament at the Bandon Crossing Collegiate Monday and Tuesday after a strong start on Sunday. LC State defeated NCAA Division II Jessup in their quarterfinal matchup 2.5-1.5 and will face Simpson (Calif.) in the semifinal starting at 11:30 a.m. on Monday. 

It will be a quick turnaround as both teams head to Salem, Ore., for the Willamette Valley Cup over the weekend. The event will be the first full tournament for the men this spring and the second for the women after a seventh-place finish at The Trailblazer last month. The tournament, hosted by NCAA Division III Willamette, will run Mar. 15-16.

TRACK & FIELD

LC State Track and Field opens the outdoor season on Tuesday at the Sam Adams Classic, hosted by NCAA Division III Whitworth. The Warriors will have athletes in action across a variety of both track and field events and are schedule to run a pair of relays. 

The Warriors competed at the 2025 NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships earlier this month in Gainesville, Fla., and came home with two All-Americans. Sydnie Zywina earned her highest finish ever at nationals with a third-place mark in the triple jump, while freshman Damaris Kibiwot raced her way to a seventh-place finish in the 3,000m.

MEN'S BASKETBALL

LC State Men’s Basketball opens play at the national tournament with the NAIA First and Second Rounds, presented by Ballogy, Mar. 14-15. The Warriors are heading to Georgetown, Ky., and will face Saint Francis (Ind.) on Mar. 14 at 5 p.m. PT.

Warrior Athletics will host a watch party at the P1FCU Activity Center on Mar. 14 for both LC State Basketball games. 

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

The Warrior women are looking for a long stay in Sioux City when LC State opens the national tournament with the NAIA First and Second Rounds, presented by Ballogy, Mar. 14-15. LC State will face Columbia College (Mo.) on Mar. 14 at 6 p.m. PT.

BASEBALL

No. 24 LC State (10-7, 7-2) swept Eastern Oregon in a four-game series with the first three counting towards Cascade Conference play. The Warriors continue conference action this weekend with a four-game set at Corban (Ore.) (6-13, 2-7) with all four counting towards CCC records. 

The LC State Warriors are 81-11 against Corban since 2009 and took three out of four last season in Salem. Jack Sheward drove in eight runs in the series and Dominic Signorelli tallied five hits with four RBI.

Corban leads the CCC in triples this season with 11.

Signorelli leads the CCC in doubles (8) and Charlie Updegrave is second in the conference in RBI with 24.

Jadon Williamson leads in ERA (1.63), wins (3) and strikeouts (35) and is second in opponent batting average (.202). Evan Canfield is second in ERA (3.29) and is tied with Williamson with three wins.

MEN'S TENNIS

After a successful weekend at the Texas Wesleyan Invitational, including an upset win over No. 12 William Woods (Mo.), LC State Men’s Tennis (6-7) is back in action this week with two matches. The Warriors will host NCAA Division III Whitman on Mar. 15 at 1 p.m. before heading to Spokane to take on DIII Whitworth on Mar. 16 at 3 p.m.

The Warrior men faced Whitman on Mar. 2 ahead of the trip to Texas and swept the Blues 7-0. LC State is 17-14 against Whitman since 2010 and is 4-2 against the team from Walla Walla since the start of last season. 

LC State defeated Whitworth on Feb. 9 by a score of 6-1 and holds a commanding 29-1 record against the Pirates since 2010. 

WOMEN'S TENNIS

The women of LC State Tennis (5-8) head north to Spokane on Sunday to take on NCAA Division III Whitworth at 10 a.m. The Warriors defeated the Pirates 6-1 at home on Feb. 8. 

LC State is 25-1 against Whitworth since 2010 and has not allowed the Pirates to score more than two points since 2022.
