LC State Baseball will take a break from Cascade Conference action for a midweek matchup on the road against NCAA Division III Whitman before jumping back into CCC play this weekend at home against Warner Pacific (Ore.).
The Warriors are 45-4 all-time against Whitman and 15-3 on the road. LC State has won the last 28 meetings, with the most recent being a doubleheader sweep in 2022. LC State Baseball will travel to Walla Walla on Wednesday for a contest starting at 6:30 p.m.
LC State will face Warner Pacific for the first time since the Knights restarted their program. WPU enters the week with a 7-19 record and 6-15 in CCC play. LC state is 16-9 on the season and 13-4 in conference action.
Charlie Updegrave, the CCC Player of the Week, tied the conference career home run record with his 39th over the weekend and needs one to break the record set in 1999. He leads the Cascade in home runs this season (13) as well as slugging (.782) and RBI (42). Ike George is second in on-base percentage (.512) and runs scored (41), and is third in stolen bases (15). He has the most without being caught stealing (15-for-15).
Jadon Williamson leads the conference in ERA (2.16), opposing batting average (.196) and strikeouts (54). Jantzen Lucas is also in the top 10 of the CCC in ERA (4.45) and Evan Canfield ranks in the group in strikeouts (45). Jackson Cloud is second in saves with three.
