BASEBALL

LC State Baseball has won nine straight with sweeps of Warner Pacific (Ore.) and College of Idaho, as well as a non-conference win over NCAA Division III Whitman, to sit in a tie atop the Cascade Conference standings. Just two series remain in the regular season and both have playoff implications. The Warriors wrap up their regular season road slate this weekend at Bushnell (Ore.).

LC State is 11-6 against Bushnell since 2022 but dropped both postseason matchups last season. The Beacons won the CCC tournament in 2024.

Heading into the week, Bushnell’s pitching staff leads the Cascade Conference in ERA (4.14), opposing batting average (.244) and saves (15).

The Warriors lead the conference in slugging (.537), on-base percentage (.437) and RBI (332). Charlie Updegrave leads individually in slugging (.798), hits (66), RBI (56) and home runs (16), while Ike George leads in runs scored (53). On the mound, Jadon Williamson leads in ERA (2.26), opposing batting average (.200) and strikeouts (73). Kolby Solomon is tied for the CCC lead in saves with four.

LC State and Bushnell, along with British Columbia and Oregon Tech, have all secured their spots in the CCC postseason tournament. The rest of the conference is in a race for the fifth and final spot. The Warriors are tied with UBC for the top spot with OIT in third and Bushnell in fourth. The top seed will host the tournament. LC State closes out the regular season against UBC at home.
