The confidence, strength and character gained through sports participation are the very tools girls and women need to become strong leaders in sports and life. NGWSD is a national day co-founded and powered by the Women's Sports Foundation and supported by its team of champion athletes. Annually, schools and community-serving organizations host over 300 grassroots events across all 50 states and Washington, D.C. with an estimated reach of 200,000 girls and women.
