2015-16: XC - Won every race during the season except nationals ... set the program record for a senior with at time of 23:57 at the Inland Empire Championship ... Frontier Conference Runner of the Year ... finished 31st at nationals
2014-15: Redshirted during cross country…Finished runner-up in the 3000m at the Indoor NAIA National Championship with a time of 8:27.93…won the 1500m at WAR 8 and Eastern Oregon Invitational
2013-14: Submitted arguably the finest full season in Lewis-Clark State XC/track history, finishing as national runner-up in XC and winning national championships at indoor and outdoor track nationals...Only races he started that didn't end with him in winner's circle were national preview and national meet, where he was runner-up both times...Set LCSC XC record for 8K course with time of 23:25 at Inland Empire Championships on Warriors' home course...Won five Frontier Conference Athlete of the Week awards (four XC, 1 track) and two national XC Athlete of the Week awards...Claimed Male College Athlete of the Year honors at 52nd Annual North Idaho Sports Banquet in Coeur d'Alene in April...Earned Frontier Conference All-Academic honors.
2012-13: Slotted in as No. 2 runner behind Dave Marks for Warriors while Jimmy Oribo recovered from injury, earning top three finishes in first three races, two LCSC team victories…Ankle injury cost him shot to run in Frontier Conference Championships, then was pulled 30 minutes before nationals due to illness…Edged closer to sub-25 territory before injury… Named Academic All-Conference.
2011-12: Warriors top finisher at NAIA nationals in Vancouver, Wash., placing 37th overall in a time of 25:02...13th overall and third for LCSC at Willamette’s Bowles Invitational…25th at Inland Empire.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Grimsby Institute of Further and Higher Education and graduated in June 2009 from Healing Comprehensive School where he competed in track, cross country, and soccer as the goalkeeper…He ran the 1,500, 3,000 and 5,000 meters in track and holds the third all-time fastest mark in England for U17…He also competed on the tennis team.
PERSONAL: Born March 14, 1993 in Grimsby, England to Bob and Helen Atkin…Has one sister Jen…Hobbies include jet skiing, hot holidays, and running…Majoring in Kinesiology…Earned a 3.75 GPA in high school.
