Kurtis Bonner

Bonner is a former student-athlete at Lewis-Clark State College where he competed in the high jump, sprints and combined events from 2012-17. After competing for the Warriors, he began as the high jump coach amongst other duties.
 
In 2018, Bonner helped coach Tyler Blakely to an Indoor National Championship in the high jump. He went on to coach Lewiston native Jennah Carpenter to a sweep of the indoor and outdoor high jump titles in 2023.
 
Prior to returning to LC State in 2021, Bonner spent two years as a graduate assistant at Concordia University, Nebraska. He spent 2019-2021 focusing primarily on high jump and the combined events. While at Concordia, Bonner mentored 12 national qualifiers, six All-Americans, and contributed points towards two third-place and one second-place women’s team finishes.
 
Returning to his alma mater in 2021, Bonner is excited to contribute his newfound knowledge in the high jump and combined events.
 
Bonner holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Psychology from Lewis-Clark State College. He is currently working towards his Masters of School Counseling through Concordia University, Nebraska. Bonner is a native of Lewiston, Idaho. His hobbies include hiking, biking, frisbee golf, puzzles, spelunking, and bird watching.
