Warriors tame Wildcats on the road, 105-53

Box Score PORTLAND, Ore. – The 15th-ranked Lewis-Clark State College men's basketball team moved to 4-1 on its six-game road trip with a 105-53 thumping of Portland Bible College on Friday night.

Although official stats will not be available until next week, Zavon Jackson led the Warriors with 26 points while four others finished in double figures. Anthony Sullen scored 17, Doug McDaniel had 15, David Shedrick added 13 and Connor Desaulniers netted 12.

With the win the Warriors improve to 7-2 on the season while PBC falls to 0-8.

"Our guys did a great job capitalizing on our size advantage down low," said Warriors Head Coach Brandon Rinta. "Zavon and Connor were aggressive and efficient inside. We also only gave up two offensive rebounds on the night. Our guys did a great job of rebounding.

Our ball movement was solid all night long as well. Even when they were mixing up their defenses we kept finding the open man. Most of our baskets came with assists."

The Warriors wrap up their six-game road trip with a visit to Warner Pacific College on Saturday, Nov. 26 at 6 p.m. Live coverage of the event is available at https://portal.stretchinternet.com/wpc/.

"Tomorrow is going to be a good test for us," added Rinta. "Warner Pacific has been one of the top teams in their league for the past five years. It'll be a good test for us before we begin conference play."

The Warriors open Frontier Conference play on Thursday, Dec. 1 against the University of Great Falls with tip-off scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the LC Activity Center.
