LEWISTON, Idaho – After a close first half, the No. 10 Lewis-Clark State Warriors put together a dominant second half to power past the Lions of Multnomah University on Monday night by a final of 124-78. The Warriors outscored the Lions 73-38 in the second half to run away with their eighth-straight win of the season.
Cory Dollarhide led the scoring efforts with 21 points, including going 5-for-7 from 3-point range.
Dana Abe was not far behind with 17 and was 7-for-9 from the field.
Damek Mitchell notched a double-double on 11 points and 11 assists without a single turnover.

The Warriors held a slim advantage over Multnomah for much of the first half. Mitchell opened the scoring in the first half and
Cordel Hankerson hit a 3 to give LC a 5-2 lead and they held the lead for the rest of the game. The Lions managed to stay within single-digits throughout the half until a basket from Abe stretched the lead to 11 at 49-38 in the final two minutes. Another from Abe had LC up 51-41 at the half.
Dollarhide and the rest of the Warriors came out firing in the second frame. Dollarhide dropped 19 of LC's 73 second-half points.
Derrick White drained a basket to spark a 12-point run for the Warriors that pushed the advantage to 98-71 at 6:41.
Andre McCowan added five points to the rally with a pair of baskets and a free throw while Dollarhide chipped in one of his five 3-pointers. A run of 13 points lasted two minutes, ending with the Warriors leading 113-74 with three to play. Conner Moffat,
David Shedrick and Dollarhide all hit 3-pointers in the span. The offense couldn't be stopped and the Warriors ended the game ahead 124-78.
Mitchell notched a double-double with 11 points and 11 assists to lead the Warriors in dimes. As mentioned, Dollarhide led the Warriors with 21 points and Abe dropped 17. Shedrick and McCowan each added 13. Every Warrior on the court scored at least two points, and all but one had at least one assist and one rebound.
The Warriors held the Lions to a 36.5 field goal percentage while shooting 58.8 percent. The bench dropped 77 of the team's 124 points. LC forced 13 turnovers while committing only six and dished out 35 assists compared to Multnomah's 19.
"Our depth, around that 10-minute mark (in the second half), started to show," Johnson said. "Our guys dug in and it has been pretty impressive. It could've been easy to have one foot out the door thinking about Christmas break, but credit to our guys for sticking with it."
LC continues the home stand after the holiday with a pair of contests against Concordia Edmonton. They host the Thunder on Dec. 29 and 30 in the Activity Center.
