Both Warrior Basketball Teams Remain in Top-20

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NAIA released the latest Division I men's and women's basketball rankings on Tuesday and both Warrior teams remained in the nation's top-20. The Warrior women moved up one spot to No. 17, while the men dropped two to No. 18.
 
The women went 3-1 over the last two weeks, taking down two ranked teams in No. 22 Providence and No. 21 Rocky, along with MSU-Northern. Their only loss came to No. 8 Carroll.
 
LC women's basketball is currently ranked eighth in NAIA DI in assists per game (16.76) and 10th in assist/turnover ratio (1.14). Jossilyn Blackman leads the team in points per game (13.67) and rebounds per game (7.81).
 
The men's team fell two spots to No. 18 after a 2-2 split over the last two weeks. The Warriors took down Providence, now ranked No. 25, and MSU-Northern before falling to No. 2 Carroll and No. 22 Rocky Mountain.
 
LC's men still hold the best assist/turnover ratio in NAIA DI (1.90), as well as the widest scoring margin (27.19). Damek Mitchell is fourth in the nation in total assists (126) and assists per game (6.00), while Derrick White is fourth in assist/turnover ratio (3.65).
 
The Warriors host Montana Tech on Thursday in the Activity Center. The women tip off at 5:30 p.m., followed by the men at 7:30 p.m.
