LEWISTON, Idaho - The Lewis-Clark State men's tennis team dropped their match to the Idaho Vandals on Sunday, falling 6-1. Their match against Whitman, scheduled for 5 p.m., has been moved to Feb. 18.
"Idaho played tough against us," coach Kai Fong said. "It was nice to see the team grind it out against the Big Sky champions."
In doubles play, Luca Menezes and Jackson Lee (No.1 doubles), and William Bruchard and Margus Gavelin (No. 2 doubles) both dropped their matches in close 7-5 fashion. Alexandre d'Aboville and Herman Yue fell in the third spot, 6-2.
Yue pulled off the lone win for the Warriors on the day, winning in No. 6 singles. He defeated his opponent 4-6, 6-3, 10-4.
The Warriors travel to Phoenix on Friday to take on NAIA opponents Arizona Christian and Ottawa University at 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., respectively.
