PORTLAND, Ore. – Coach
Kai Fong said the Lewis-Clark State College men's tennis team is making progress even in a loss to NCAA Division I Portland State.
"We faced a tough team with a deep lineup," said Fong after the Warriors fell to 1-7 after the 7-0 loss. "But it was definitely another step in the right direction for the players. It was a worthwhile trip to Portland."
Alexandre d'Aboville took Matteo Fortini to three sets at No. 1 singles before falling 6-1, 3-6, 6-2, while at No. 1 doubles
Luca Menezes and
Jackson Lee took Tommy Edward and Fortini to an extra point before dropping the match 7-5.
