All-American Woldetsadik Named Men’s Tennis MVP of the Decade

LEWISTON, Idaho – Yonas Woldetsadik became the first Lewis-Clark State Men's Tennis player to earn All-America honors since 2007, doing so with a second team nod in 2016. He was named the MVP of the LC State Men's Tennis All-Decade Team.
 
Also named to the team were: (alphabetically) William Bruchard, Alexandre D'Aboville, Ignacio Salom, Jeff Su, Anders Tischer, Sam Tozer and Quentin Wacquez.
 
Woldetsadik (2015-17) had a stellar sophomore season that culminated in All-America honors. The Ethiopia native earned 13 victories in the top singles position (13-7), and claimed 10 wins in doubles action. He finished his three-year career with 25 wins in both singles and doubles.
 
Bruchard (2018-present) will begin his third season with the Warriors in 2020-21. Through his first two seasons, he has tallied eight singles victories to go with 11 in doubles play. He took over the top singles spot last season and was voted CoSIDA Academic All-District.
 
D'Aboville (2016, 2018-19) wrapped up his LC State career with 18 wins in both singles and doubles. He earned five singles wins and eight doubles victories in his senior season as the top singles player for the Warriors.
 
A two-year competitor for the Warriors, Salom (2016-17) left LC State with 12 victories in both singles and doubles. In 2017, he went 8-4 in singles action and was 7-7 in doubles play.
 
Su (2014-17) was a member of the Warrior Tennis Team for four years. He finished his career with 23 wins in singles to go with 31 in doubles. As a junior, Su won nine singles and doubles matches for a career high.
 
Tischer (2011-13) played for LC State for three seasons and finished his career with 21 singles victories and 23 doubles wins. He had a great start to his time as a Warrior with nine singles wins (9-8) and 11 doubles victories (11-6).
 
A teammate of Tischer's, Tozer (2012-14) finished his career with 23 wins in singles play and 24 in doubles. He had winning records in both (23-20 in singles and 24-18 in doubles), and earned 11 of his singles victories to start his career (11-7).
 
Wacquez (2013-14, 2017) put together an impressive senior campaign for LC State, going 15-6 in singles play and 12-11 in doubles. He finished his time as a Warrior with a 26-14 record in singles and 27-14 record in doubles.
