CORVALLIS, Oregon – A record-setting performance and 48-point weekend by senior Kiara Burlage helped the Lewis-Clark State Warriors to a pair of wins over Montana State-Northern over the weekend. She was voted the Cascade Conference Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Player of the Week after setting an LC State single-game record with 18 made free throws on Saturday.
Burlage opened the weekend with 14 points in the 66-54 victory over the Skylights. She led the game with nine rebounds, while collected three assists and a pair of steals. She was 6-for-18 from the field.
On Saturday, Burlage went to the free throw line 19 times and made 18 of her shots to set the single-game record. She drained 13 straight to set the LC State record for consecutive free throws made without a miss, and her 19 attempts it tied for fourth in a game all-time. The Columbia Falls, Mont. native totaled a career-high 34 points including eight field goals.
