LEWISTON, Idaho – The No. 25 Lewis-Clark State Men's Tennis team opened the 2020 home season with a loss to NCAA DI Idaho.
Roberto Salazar picked up the lone victory for the Warriors with a 3-6, 6-4, 10-6 win in No. 6 singles.
"The top two singles were big hitters for the Vandals, but William (Bruchard) and Luca (Menezes) found a way to make it an exciting match," coach
Kai Fong said.
Vannasak Chheang and
William Bruchard put up a fight in No. 1 doubles before falling 6-3.
In singles action,
Luca Menezes battled through three sets before being edged 7-6, 0-6, 6-4 in the second slot. Herman Yue picked up six games in his 6-2, 6-4 loss in No. 5 singles.
