HATTIESBURG, Mississippi – The No. 25 Lewis-Clark Men's Tennis team wrapped up a challenging two days in Mississippi, going 1-2 against strong NAIA competition. After falling to two top 25 teams on Friday, LC State bounced back to claim a 5-2 victory over Montreat (N.C.) on Saturday.

FRIDAY MATCH ONE: No. 4 WILLIAM CAREY def. No. 25 LC STATE 4-0
Lewis-Clark State Men's Tennis kicked off its trip down south with a match against No. 4 William Carey. The Warriors fell to the fourth-ranked team in the nation on its home court 4-0.

"It is never easy to start the outdoor season against the No. 4 ranked team," coach Kai Fong said. "The William Carey Crusaders played solid in all matches and did not let our players settle into any kind of groove. This is first of ten NAIA matchups we will see in the next two months. The players will keep learning from each match."

William Carey picked up two quick wins in the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles spots to win the doubles point.

Bruchard battled in the top singles spot before falling 6-2, 6-2. Magalasin picked up three games in his No. 3 singles dual before dropping the match 6-3, 6-0. Menezes began his match in No. 2 singles, but the match was called after Harlan fell in fourth singles.
