VOLLEYBALL
Warrior Volleyball will play its final regular-season road matches on Friday and Saturday in Portland, Ore. LC will open the weekend at Multnomah at 7 p.m. before facing Warner Pacific on Saturday at 5 p.m. The Warriors defeated WPU 3-1, and Multnomah 3-0, in Lewiston earlier this season. Jada Wyms tallied 18 kills in the victory over Warner Pacific and Kenzie Dean collected 24 digs. Against Multnomah, Carli Berntson led the charge with eight kills.
Grecia Ung Enriquez and Dean were voted Cascade Conference WVT Laboratory Athletes of the Week on Monday, with Ung Enriquez earning Attacker of the Week honors and Dean getting the nod for Defender of the Week. Both were vital in LC's three straight road wins last week.
The remaining matches are key to the Warriors' postseason fate with LC State currently tied for sixth with Evergreen State and College of Idaho in the CCC standings. The top six teams in the conference move on to the Cascade Conference tournament. The Warriors hold the edge in both tiebreakers against TESC and C of I. The Warriors close out the regular season at home on Nov. 5 and 6 against (RV) Bushnell and No. 5 Corban.
