PORTLAND, Ore. – The Warriors put a damper on Warner Pacific University's Senior Night on Saturday with a 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-16) sweep of the Knights.
Grecia Ung Enriquez notched her third double-double of the season with 15 kills and 11 digs to lead the Warriors to their 16
th victory of the season. Currently on a five-match winning streak, LC heads into the final weekend of Cascade Conference play with a record of 11-9 against CCC opponents.
"The team did a really good job this weekend of making in-game adjustments, and that is something we have pushed a lot this year," Head Coach
Shaun Pohlman said. "We are going to have a tough test this week with Corban and Bushnell at home, so we are looking forward to the challenge going into our final week of the regular season."
The Warriors are still in the hunt for a spot in the conference tournament, with College of Idaho, Northwest and Evergreen State all in the mix vying for two spots.
The two schools traded points to begin the first set before an ace by Ung Enriquez and a kill by
Tori Edwards gave LC a 5-3 lead. Back-to-back kills by
Cassidy Nelson and
Hallie Seaman gave the Warriors a three-point edge at 8-5. LC State steadily grew its lead until a seven-point outburst, aided by three kills by Ung Enriquez, pushed the score to set point at 24-13. A WPU service error closed out the first frame 25-16.

Carli Berntson kept the momentum going in the second as
Channa Hart and Ung Enriquez helped push the advantage to 4-1.
Jess Ruffing dealt back-to-back service aces to make it 15-9, and four straight LC points gave the Warriors a commanding 19-10 lead. Ung Enriquez and Berntson tallied a pair of kills before Berntson ended the set 25-19 with a swing on an assist from
Hannah Martinez.
The Warriors rallied for five straight points on three kills by Ung Enriquez, an ace by
Lexi Trowbridge and a block by
Jada Wyms and Ung Enriquez for a 6-2 lead in the third set. Another block by the pair and a kill from each was followed by an ace by Trowbridge to push the margin to 17-12, and a run of five with kills by
Josie Peters, Wyms and an ace by Ung Enriquez made it 22-13. Kills by
Jennah Carpenter and Peters ended the match with a 25-16 set victory.
Ung Enriquez led the LC offense with 15 kills on a .560 attack percentage. She collected 11 digs and had four service aces. Martinez tallied 15 assists and Ruffing had 10.
Kenzie Dean led the defense with 15 digs, and Wyms put up three blocks in one set.
LC State hit .347 as a team and held WPU to .180. The team tallied 46 kills, compared to the Knights' 28, and put up 10 blocks.
The Warriors wrap up the regular season at home next Friday and Saturday when they host nationally-ranked Bushnell and Corban. LC State will hold Senior Night on Saturday night at 5 p.m.
