VOLLEYBALL
LC State Volleyball closed out the first half of conference play with a 6-5 record against CCC teams and 11-8 overall. The Warriors have had steady production from Cassidy Nelson and Jada Wyms so far this season, and both have earned Attacker of the Week honors for their efforts. Kenzie Dean has also been a constant defensive presence for LC, also earning weekly recognition, and has emerged as one of the best servers in the conference.
The Warriors look to avenge their first two losses at home this season against Oregon Tech and Southern Oregon. They open the weekend at OIT on Friday at 7 p.m. after falling to the Owls in four sets on Sept. 4. Oregon Tech currently sits fourth in the Cascade with a conference record of 8-3.
Then-No. 21 SOU took the CCC opener in three sets, but has since fallen out of the top 25 after injuries have forced lineup changes. The Raiders hold a conference record of 4-7 heading into the weekend. Southern Oregon hosts Oregon Tech on Oct. 6.
Both matches will be live streamed and will have live stats. Live streams are produced by the hosting teams and may have a fee.
