LEWISTON, Idaho – Head Coach Brian Orr and Warrior Women's Basketball announced the signing of the second recruit from the class of 2022 on Thursday in Boise's Ella Nelson. The guard from Boise High School will begin her time at LC State in the fall.
 
"We are very excited to be adding Ella to next year's roster," Orr said. "She is an outstanding shooter with deep range and a quick release. She is a great free throw shooter with the ability to attack off the dribble and get to the line or finish at the rim.  We are also excited to be adding another excellent passer to our team. Ella sees the floor well and makes good decisions with the ball. Ella's attributes as a player on the court and her commitment in the classroom make her a perfect fit for our women's basketball program."
 
Nelson averaged 12 points, four rebound and four assists last season as a junior and has helped the team to back-to-back State Consolation Championships. She was voted all-conference last season and has earned the All-Conference Academic Award throughout high school.
 
Nelson is the second signee for LC State Women's Basketball this season, joining Payton Hymas.
