WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Reigning Cascade Conference WVT Laboratory Player of the Week Sara Muehlhausen and the rest of LC State Women’s Basketball will play in an exhibition contest at Idaho on Tuesday night at 6 p.m. The Warriors last faced U of I in 2019 and fell 81-40.
LC will host the Twin Rivers Physical Therapy Classic on Nov. 12 and 13 in the Activity Center. The Warriors will open the weekend on Friday against Montana Tech before taking on Rocky Mountain College on Saturday. Both LC Women’s Basketball games will be at 5 p.m.
LC State last faced Montana Tech in the quarterfinal of the 2019-20 Frontier Conference tournament and came away with a 63-52 victory. The Warriors defeated the Orediggers in three of the four meetings in that season, including an overtime win in the last meeting of the regular season.
The Warriors fell to Rocky Mountain in two of the team’s three contests in the final season in the Frontier. LC rolled past RMC, then ranked No. 20 in the NAIA, 82-54 in the only victory over the Battlin’ Bears in 2019-20. Rocky won an overtime battle in the first meeting between the two.
LC State won its opening contest on Tuesday with a 81-77 victory over NCAA Division III Whitman behind a career-high 16 points by Muehlhausen. Maddie Holm notched a double-double with 10 points and 10 boards, Hannah Broyles scored 14 points, Callie Stevens added 13 and Heidi Sellmann scored 12.
