KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Both LC State Basketball teams remained in the top 25 in the latest NAIA polls, and with both teams ranked higher than the College of Idaho teams, the Warriors will host both opening games of the Cascade Conference Playoffs.
The Warrior men held the No. 4 position for the third straight poll after picking up a pair of victories over Yellowstone Christian. LC State is 12-1 on the season and ranks fifth in the NAIA in scoring defense per game (64.3). They are eighth in field goal percentage defense (.387) and 10
th in scoring margin (16.8). The College of Idaho is not receiving votes.
LC State Women's Basketball fell one spot to No. 24 after picking up four wins. The Warriors split with NCAA DII Seattle Pacific and Montana State-Billings, and also defeated conference opponents Eastern Oregon and College of Idaho. The Yotes are not receiving votes in the poll.
LC State will host both opening games of the Cascade Conference Playoff against College of Idaho, beginning with the women on Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. They men will play in the Activity Center on Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. The College of Idaho will host game two on Feb. 20 and 21. If necessary, the game three locations, if necessary, will be decided by a coin flip.
The Cascade Conference is not allowing spectators to any of the playoff games, but all games will be streamed at a cost of $9.99 per game. Games in Lewiston will be streamed on the Warrior Sports Network at lcwarriors.com/watch, and games in Caldwell will be produced and stream by C of I.
