LEWISTON, Idaho – The No. 24 Warrior Men's Tennis team took on NCAA DI Montana in a doubleheader on Friday and picked up a point in the second match of the afternoon. Itaru Kikuchi continued to shine in his freshman season with a victory in both doubles in singles of the second match.
 
MATCH ONE: Montana def. LC State 7-0
The Warriors struggled against Montana in the first match of the day. Kikuchi and Cornelius Sia had the strongest doubles match in the second spot with four games won.
 
In singles action, Kikuchi (No. 2 singles) fought his way to a third set after taking the second 6-4. William Bruchard took his opponent deep into sets before falling in the top spot.

MATCH TWO: Montana def. LC State 6-1
Kikuchi earned the only LC State point of the day with a 3-6, 7-6, 10-8 victory in No. 2 singles. He teamed up with Burchard in No. 1 doubles to earn a victory, but the Warriors did not earn the point due to Montana taking the other two doubles matches.
