LEWISTON, Idaho – Head Coach Kai Fong announced a pair of signees that will join LC State Tennis in the fall. Austin Swing comes to Lewiston by way of Middleton, Idaho, while Rajvi Panchal will join the women's program out of India.

Swing will graduate from Middleton High School this spring after competing as the Vikings' top singles player. He helped his team to a State title in 2019 and a runner-up finish in 2018. In 2019, he won the individual State title. Swing also was a member of the 2020 team that was named the Men's 4A Academic State Champions. His mother is the women's tennis coach at College of Idaho.

"We are excited to have the 2019 Idaho High School 4A singles champion join our ranks," Fong said. "He will bring a ton of energy to the team. His competitive nature will add quality depth to the roster."

Panchal, a native of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, prepped at the National Institute of Open Schooling in Delhi. She won gold at the state tournament two consecutive years while also competing in volleyball and badminton.

"Rajvi will be our first-ever female player from India," Fong explained. "Her game is strong from the baseline. Her will to compete is highly desirable. She might be one of those quiet performers who will let the tennis do the talking."
