CORVALLIS, Ore. – For the second time this year, a record number of Cascade Collegiate Conference student-athletes earned U.S. Bank Academic All-Conference honors for their performances in the classroom. A total of 226 student-athletes in winter sports earned the honor, the CCC office announced Wednesday. 13 LC State Warriors were tabbed All-CCC Academic honorees.
Eight Warrior women and five LC State men earned the conference's academic award. Women's basketball's
Sara Muehlhausen,
Rachel Schroeder,
Heidi Sellmann,
Alexis Sykora and
Madeline Weaver all earned the honor for the second time, and
Hannah Broyles,
Maddie Holm and
Callie Stevens took home the award in their first season eligible.
On the men's side,
Will Abram,
Silas Bennion,
Grant Ellison,
Nathan Fromm and
Joel Meske were all named Academic All-Cascade Conference for the first time.
To earn recognition as an All-CCC Academic honoree, a student-athlete must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 and be of sophomore standing.
