LEWISTON, Idaho – The Warriors took on a tough opponent in NCAA Division I Idaho in the Tennis Center on Saturday night and fell to the Vandals 7-0.
"It is nice to see our players respond well to the tough challenges," Head Coach
Kai Fong said. "Idaho has a deep, hard-hitting team. It is always a learning experience, no matter what."
Austin Swing and
Larry Magalasin had a strong showing in No. 3 doubles. The duo battled deep into the match before dropping the contest 7-6.
In singles play,
William Bruchard put up a fight in the second spot. He won eight games before falling 6-3, 7-5. Magalasin picked up six games in his No. 3 match (6-3, 6-3), and
Matus Rusnak also earned eight (6-4, 6-4).
The Warriors take on DIII Whitworth in a pair of matches on Feb. 20 in the Tennis Center.
