LEWISTON, Idaho – The Yotes came out on top in the rivalry matchup between the LC State Men's Basketball team and No. 10 College of Idaho on Friday night. C of I dominated all facets of contest in the 82-48 loss.

Austin Johnson said. "They showed why they're in the running for a championship. We'll need to quickly move on from this one and prepare for a very talented EOU team tomorrow."
Oreon Courtney found the basket first to put LC up in the opening seconds of the contest, but a 12-4 run by the Yotes put C of I in the driver's seat early. The deficit surpassed the 10-point mark with a score of 24-12 at 7:21 as College of Idaho continued to outpace the Warriors.
LC State trailed 41-14 at the break. The Yotes continued their offensive attack throughout the remainder of the contest.
Grant Ellison sparked an eight-point run by LC State with free throws in the final three minutes.
Kalani Sapwell drained a 3 and
Joel Meske completed an and-one play to cap the scoring as time expired.
Silas Bennion led LC State with 10 points in the contest and Courtney grabbed seven rebounds.
Johnny Radford led all scorers with 18 points, and Jake O'Neil grabbed 16 boards and scored 12 points.
The Warriors face Eastern Oregon on Saturday in the P1FCU Activity Center. The contest is set to begin at 5 p.m. Tickets and streaming packages can be purchased at lcwarriors.com.
