CORVALLIS, Ore. – The No. 3 Lewis-Clark State Baseball team became the first Warrior team to be named the Cascade Conference Under Armour Team of the Week in the 2021-22 school year after a record-setting conference series with the University of British Columbia. The Warrior outscored the Thunderbirds 55-17 in the four-game sweep.
With Sunday's victory, LC State tied the program record for consecutive wins with 27 set back in 1986. The Warriors saw other edits to the record books with
Luke White becoming the first LC State player since current head coach
Jake Taylor in 1993 to hit two home runs in the same inning, then the first Warrior to hit home runs in four straight at-bats.
Charlie Updegrave set the single-game record with 10 RBI in game three of the series with the help of three home runs.
LC State is now 33-1 on the season and 4-0 in Cascade Conference play. The Warriors hit the road to take on Corban in a four-game conference series beginning on Friday in Salem.
