LEWISTON, Idaho – After a standout season for the Greyhounds, Pullman High School's Grayson Hunt will compete for LC State Men's Basketball next season. The local product signed with the Warriors in the fall before leading Pullman High School to a runner-up finish at State.
Hunt averaged 14.0 points, 9.8 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game and was voted first-team all-conference in the Greater Spokane League. He was recognized at the State level where he was named to the WIBCA 2A All-State team. In the State semifinal game, Hunt turned in a memorable performance with 22 points and 22 rebounds to spark a fourth-quarter comeback over the defending State Champions.
"I chose LC because I saw how the program could bring the best out of me on and off the court," Hunt said. "Another main reason was LC's history of winning and championship legacy."
"Grayson was the ultimate teammate and leader during his playing time at Pullman High," Pullman High School coach Craig Brantner said. "He came to play every day. He is a hard worker with a team-first attitude and will do whatever is needed to be successful."
"We're excited to add Grayson to our program," Head Coach
Austin Johnson said. "He is someone we have watched the last few years, and seeing his growth as a competitor has been fun to see. Having played for Coach Brantner, he's already got a firsthand understanding in what it takes to be a winner. We believe as Grayson develops he can be a very good player in the CCC due to his physicality and versatility. He's also proven to be a great teammate who has put the team first above his own accolades. We can't wait to work with him."
