LEWISTON, Idaho – Lewis-Clark State Men's Basketball announced the additions of three experienced student-athletes that will make an immediate impact on the 2022-23 roster. Keegan Crosby, Davian Brown and Etan Collins will all join the Warriors in the fall. An announcement of more signees will be released in the coming weeks.

Crosby, a graduate transfer from NCAA Division II Alaska-Anchorage, will complete his Communications degree at LC State. While at UAA, the 6-6 forward helped the team to a third-place finish in the GNAC. He was second on the team in the rebounding and third in assists while starting all but one game. Crosby won a Washington State 3A title as a senior at Seattle's Nathan Hale High School in 2017 and won an NWAC Championship with North Idaho College in 2018.

"I picked LC because of the coaching staff and winning culture that surrounds the program," Crosby said. "It is important to me to have coaches that want and expect the best from their players on and off the court and throughout the recruiting process I felt that immediately with LC and their coaches. Playing for coaches that have confidence in me was important as I use my last year of eligibility and help the team compete for a championship."

"Keegan was the first transfer we signed this offseason and we are really excited about his offensive versatility and IQ," Head Coach Austin Johnson said. "Just as importantly, he fits how we want to play on the defensive side of things. His experience and ability to play and defend multiple positions will be a great asset as we are still a younger team experience wise. Keegan is a great student and high-character person that wants to maximize his remaining time as a student-athlete and we're grateful he picked LC."

Brown, a 6-2 guard out of Pasadena, Calif., spent the last two seasons at The Master's and helped the team to 40 wins in those two campaigns. With the Mustangs, he averaged 10.8 points, 2.0 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game and scored a career0high 28 points against William Jessup as a freshman. Brown prepped at Pasadena High School where he earned several accolades and helped his team to a Pacific League Championship.

""I chose to attend LC State because I was looking for a fresh start in a new area that was away from home," Brown said. "I enjoyed getting to know the coaching staff and the other players on the team while on my visit. LC has great facilities and tradition on top of a great community which will be a great new chapter for me as I continue my career."

"Davian is another transfer that has logged a lot of minutes with valued experience thus far in his career," Johnson said. "We like his ability to play on and off the ball and be a threat to both score and create for others. His length and instincts will serve him well. We believe as he adds strength via the weight room he can truly be a complete scorer as well as elite defender. Davian's best basketball is still ahead of him and we're excited for his next steps."

Collins comes to LC State after a standout season at Skagit Valley College. During his time playing for Coach Carl Howell, the 6-5 forward averaged 13.3 points, 9.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. He finished the season ranked fifth in rebounds per game in the entire 34-team NWAC. Last season, Skagit Valley won 21 games and advanced to the quarterfinal of the NWAC Tournament. Collins also had an impact during his freshman season at DII Western Oregon where he started and averaged 6.2 points and 4.3 rebounds per game to help the Wolves to a national tournament appearance. He attended Federal Way High School and won a Washington State 4A Championship to go with four State tournament appearances.

"I decided to attend LC State because of how much belief the coaching staff showed in me throughout the recruiting process and during my visit," Collins said. "They believe I can become not only a better basketball player during my time at LC, but also a better man. Getting my degree is very important and I know it will be to the coaching staff as well."

"Etan is another versatile forward that has deep experience," Johnson shared. "Most recently at Skagit Valley College he was an integral piece on a very good team coached by Carl Howell. Etan will have a big impact on our defensive identity with his versatility and physicality. Offensively he gives us another option that can score in a variety of ways as well as see the floor as a passer. As a staff we still think he has room to grow and it will be fun to see his progress."
